Basic Information About BIT-SAT

The Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) Pilani, is a deemed University which offers Degree Engineering Courses at its Pilani campus and Goa campus.

From the year 2005, BITS has introduced an Entrance Test viz. ‘BITS Admission Test’ (BITSAT) for admission to its Degree Engineering Programs.

Eligibility for BITSAT :

The aspiring candidate must have passed the final examination of 10+2 system or its equivalent, with a paper each in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with adequate proficiency in English. Further, candidate should have obtained a minimum of aggregate 75% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in Std.XII exam, with at least 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics each. Students who are appearing for Std.XII exam are eligible to appear for BITSAT, subject to their fulfilling the requirement of minimum marks in Std.XII exam, as mentioned above.

Pattern of BIT-SAT :

BITSAT is a ‘Computer Based Online Test’ held after the Std. XII Board Exam. BITSAT is administered on different dates at different centers all across the country. The aspiring candidates have to choose a centre and reserve a date (any time between April to June) for appearing for the BITSAT Online Test.

BITSAT is a three hours duration objective type exam, comprising of around 150 questions. It is consist of four parts and its format is as follows :
